Physiotherapy resources, exercises and guided self-assessment to help you better understand the possible causes of your ankle and foot pain.

Ankle and foot pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal conditions and can affect people of all ages.
These structures support your body weight with every step and play a key role in almost every daily activity. Walking, running, climbing stairs or spending long hours standing can all increase the load placed on the ankle and foot.
When symptoms develop, it is common to experience:
✅ pain while walking or bearing weight
✅ ankle stiffness or a feeling of joint restriction
✅ pain in the heel, instep or sole of the foot
✅ discomfort after physical activity or when taking your first steps in the morning
✅ a feeling of instability or difficulty moving the ankle normally
However, not all ankle and foot pain has the same cause.
Different structures may be involved, including the joints, muscles, tendons, nerves or even changes in foot biomechanics. For this reason, performing random or generic exercises does not always provide the best results.
In physiotherapy, understanding which structures may be contributing to the problem allows you to choose more appropriate exercises and develop a more specific rehabilitation strategy.
I’m Antonio, a physiotherapist specialised in musculoskeletal conditions and the founder of PhysioCareHub.

My philosophy is simple:
Understand the problem before trying to solve it.
For this reason, I developed the Complete Ankle & Foot Self-Assessment, designed to help you better understand your symptoms and guide you towards the most appropriate exercise programme.
🎯 COMPLETE ANKLE & FOOT SELF-ASSESSMENT
If you are experiencing ankle or foot pain, stiffness or movement limitations and you’re unsure which structures may be contributing to your symptoms, I recommend starting with our Complete Ankle & Foot Self-Assessment.
Through guided questions, photographs, instructional videos and simple movement tests, you’ll be able to assess different aspects of your ankle and foot and better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms.
The goal is not simply to perform exercises, but to help you identify the most likely source of your problem and guide you towards the most appropriate rehabilitation programme.
📖 Don’t worry if the PDF contains many pages
The programme includes several different rehabilitation protocols because not everyone experiences ankle and foot pain for the same reasons.
After completing the guided self-assessment, you’ll be able to identify the profile that best matches your symptoms and go directly to the rehabilitation protocol designed for your situation, without having to read the entire document from beginning to end.
This allows you to focus only on the exercises and recommendations that are most appropriate for your condition.
